I have a few MTS and lots more ramshorns(and some other unIDED snail that moves fast :screwy:). I wnat more MTS for sand aeration, should I remove the ramshorns so they get more food, or will their population explode either way?

Those fast snails are likely pond snails or bladder snails because both do move fast which is what makes them the poorest choice as snail feeders for the assassin snails in most cases. If the ramshorns manage to outcompete the MTS, cut down their population by smashing the extras and give them to the fish. Failing that, your MTS will decline drastically as they tend to be slower than the ramshorns when it comes to food. I had to spread my own MTS around other tanks as my apple snails and ramshorns are depriving them their share of food.

for me it's the opposite. my mts population has exploded while i only have a scattering of ramshorns. in my opinion mts are way more prolific
