Hey All,
I ran across these at my local wholesaler this week. I'm still trying to decide which species the shovel heads are: any thoughts?

I see wild caught senegal and maybe lapradei.

lapradei was my best guess. The ones in the second pic were labelled as palmas and I didn't even give that a second thought. I'm going back there again tomorrow so I'll have to take a closer look.

First pics are Polypterus Bichir Lapradei "Nigeria"

Second are Polypterus Senegalus Senegalus but their could be mix of other species as well maybe a Polypterus Palmas Polli.

yeah pic 1 are Nigerian lapradei, except the one in the upper left corner, which should be a senegalus.
the majority of what i can see in pic 2 are senegalus.

I'd get me a pair or more of those laps if I were you... sure could use em here lol
