Looks amazing mate!

I've always loved the look of a sandy river bed!!!

When i find the tank i want my setup will be similar..... sandy substrate, lots of drift wood/roots and floating plants :headbang2

you inspire me to get a slave flash. I love your pix!

Thanks!!!

I have been slowly taking the sand out, see the bare spots? i am going to be switching over to red flint sand. give it a more naturel look then white.

nice fish and tank

Thanks dude! but i didn't use a slave in these pics. that's why they look "Hot" if i had used a slave booster they would be much more suttle but still giving that effective flash clarity :D

I suck at taking pics without flash.. flash(s) are my best friend :grinyes:

so far I hate flash. What is your secret to keeping them from looking washed out??

ETA: upon further inspection I can tell that it was an on-board flash. I suck lol.

Thanks guys!! the second to the last pic is with no flash.

when using flash the first thing you need to do is get to know your fish with it. learn ware they are reflective to the flash and not the opposite, it can take time, like for instance my Tapajos orange heads it doesn't matter, the flash doesn't wash them out that much, but my altifrons and Tapajos II is allot harder to get pics of as they reflect the flash, and the flash washes out there true color. keep moving your flash around till you find the right spot on your fish and your tank. :D

Deja Vu, havn't I seen thies before??

Those new EA's look great man, I bet you're a happy SOB.

Hows the spawning going?
