Hi everyone. My first question is could I breed a normal male kenyan sand boa with an albino female? My second question is do I need a permit to obtain a caiman? The laws about that are just confusing me. thanks

An albino and a normal can be bred together, however the offspring will likely be normal coloured, but carriers for albino (heterozygous), unless your normal is already a het for albino, in which case you will get a 50/50 split of normals and albinos.

I'm afraid I cannot help with the permit issue.

Thanks. What about an anery and albino mix , or normal and anery? Is anery how you say it anyway? Also for the caiman do I need a permit in va to be more specific.

In VA, I do not think you need one but don't quote me on that. Be careful, caimans are a handful though. Read up on LP's "The ]V[onster Has Begun" thread to see how much work he put into it before ever getting one.

Also, as long as you have the same species, regardless of the morph, you can breed them but the results will vary, you may get all new morphs, you may end up with 4 different morphs, you may end up with nothing but hets. It all goes back to those punnet squares from high school biology. Read up some on breeding to understand this more.

He's working tonight so it may be a day or two but I agree.
