Random Tetra Question

always thought what a tank would look like with a load of tetras(all types) in it....anyone know the cheapest way to get, say, 50-200 tetras? or even more...

What species? For a 55 gallons, get 100 ember tetras.

I always recommend a big shoal of the same species over a large group of different fish. You could put in a harmless mid water swimmer to make them bunch up together.

I would breed a batch of tetras if you want large numbers, the extra unwanted ones will be easy to trade.

Most pet stores, that I have been to at least, have large masses of tetras, usually around 50-100 in stock. And I'm sure they will give you a good discount if you are looking at purchasing that many.

In your saying in a tank over 55G, a shoal of 2 species of tetra's in a vast number would look awesome with the tank being planted.

depends on the size of the tank and which fish but i'd say go with a few groups of tetras get like 3 or 4 types and get like 12 of each
