Finally picked up a beani. Hard to say no when they're $6.95 @ 3.5". My how the price has dropped. I think they were going for $120 three or four years ago? We'll see if I can keep this one alive.

Any guesses as to what CA cichlid this dorsal fin belongs to? Shouldn't be to hard. Very nice coloration.

And not a cichlid but I'm finally trying clown loaches again after a disastrous attempt about 10 years ago. Hopefully they do well!

Came from the Wetspot. They have several in around the same size in a tank with larger Cryptoheros. I'm hoping it will do okay, as I don't have really warm water (76-68) and I feed once a day if that.

It's really just an experiment to see if it stays alive under my normal care.

I'm going to start working on my 700 gallon shortly and am really feeling the pull to SA cichlids...crazy I know.

I am debating on that Atabapo Pike that they have. Nice pick up though.

I feel you on the SA's. Only CA's I have now are HRP's... It's nice to have stock that don't beat on each other!
 
very nice never seen a beani for sale here in the uk, i would also say the pic of the dorsal fin is from a istlanum :)
