Rapairing acrylic

Hi

Does any body know what type of reinforcement mesh or just mesh you can use to imbed into the crack that's located on a curved/rounded corner?
I broke one of my AC110's on one of curved sides and I read on my local forum that you could use mesh and imbed it in the cracked area and use Weldon 16 to fuse it back together.

I've been searching like crazy and all I see is micro mesh for scratches and mesh to fix stucco.

Any help would be appreciated

AFAIK silicone will not bond to acrylic. Google it, i just did. The consensus is no it wont work. But their is hope. A product i cant recall the name im out of time som1 else need chime in.

They're not cheap here and for $15 I'm positive I'll get it fixed just need to know what the mesh is made from or called.

You really shouldn't need the mesh to repair. Just put soem weld-on in the crack and hold it together for a few until it sets.

I'm going to give it a try. Worse case scenario I buy a new case.

Would anyone know just because I'm curious what the mesh is called or made from?

The only mesh I can think of would be fiberglass roving or something like that.
