OK. I have a 150hard gallon tank right now. I have two tiny banjo catfish. A spotted Raphael about 2 inches long. A striped Raphael about 4 inches long. A feather fin about 4 inches long and an eclipse about 4 inches long. I have had fish for years. But not many cat... can I get some info on ANY AND ALL of these fish. I do t trust what I read online... max size of each. Will they all work together. Best tank set up... feeding ... aggressiveness...all suggestions welcome. Price really no aspects. And does anyone have mature pics of ANY of these? Thanks everyone

I would say sand bottom with lots of rocks an drift wood the raphels will hide all the time an the banjos like to burrow into the sand. won't be the most active tank an I think if the fish are happy you will hardly see them at all. The largest raphel cat I've seen is 8". Good luck

Its half fine gravel and half sand. All I really see of the banjos is there tails. But actually both my Raphael's are quite active. Very slow moving. But always wondering from one log to the next and digging up food particles all hours of the day.

I think raphaels are quite the opposite. Generally, you won't see them much when you first get them. You really only start to see them once they are comfortable and happy in their new environment.

Of course, you could easily position all the best hiding spots so you can still see inside. Then you will see them all the time!

Most catfish are not active if you provide them shelter or a place to hide. However, having said that most catfishes are quite active and move about if you don't have shelter(driftwood/rocks) for them to hide in. Raphaels can get to 9"plus a buddy of mine has one that's a lil over 9" and for the most part they are neutral and peaceful. Now if you have shelter in your tank some cats depending on personality they will fight for it and try to run the other(s) out. My brother just setup a brand new growout tank with a rtc about 5in and a raphael about 4inch and 1 niger cat about 5.5inches. All do fine together and share the same cave but that's for now who knows when they get bigger. Chances are they will be seperated into different and bigger tanks but you catch my drift.
