Raphael Catfish max size?

Anybody know how big a raphael cat can get? I've had mine for a few years and he seems to be gaining. He was around four inches when I got him and now he's around six. Is this normal and how much more should I expect?

they usually max around 7-8.5

What kind of raphael? Striped? Spotted? If you mean striped, I have personally seen one at about 8". Spotted ones don't get quite as big.

I had one for 10yrs that was about 7.5" when I traded him.

there used to be pictures of someones striped that was around ten or twelve inches..

its not so much the max length these fish get thats impressive. its how massive there faces and heads get. i acquired one with a complete setup and I never see him do anything but hide. he's a spotted and probably as big around his head as he is long
