Has anyone else ever experienced a fish that breathes rapidly after eating shrimp??Its a 16 inch cow fish and he always looks so winded after eating??

My Nile puffer frequently breaths hard after eating shrimp, but he works hard at attacking them without mercy 
my bass do that whenever they get an extra large peice of food, sometimes it's almost like they're forcing it down by moving their jaws aggressively because after a few minutes their belly is plump and they hardly open their mouths at all...
