So on Sunday my flowerhorn didn't eat eat like he normally does, which was weird, but given his still good colouring and behavior, no cause for concern.
On Monday he started showing paling and skittishness, so I took notice and did a water change and tested parameters. Everything seemed good.
On Tuesday he was bottom sitting and twitching occasionally, so I decided I'd grab medication from work the next day.
Wednesday he was pale and twitching, bottom sitting, and just clearly sick. I medicated with Prazipro as I wasn't certain what kind of parasite I was dealing with.
Thursday, condition worsens.
Today? Large white worm hanging out of anus, what appears to be ulcers on his kok and near his mouth, and continued deteriorating condition.
He's 5" in a chamber in my sump on my 210 gallon tank. I was just about to move him up to the main tank as I had finished growing him out, too. Diet is New Life Spec. and Hikari pellets, live worms (horn and silk mainly, with some wax), and frozen food/veggies. Nitrates don't generally go above 30ish ppm, temp is 80F, pH 6.5, and 70 gallon water changes at least once weekly. Any fish I add I quarantine and preemptively medicate and the current stock in the 210 is one 14" red tail giant gourami, one 9" oscar, one 5" rotkeil severum, one 5" jack dempsy, one 5" synspilum, one 4" electric blue jack dempsy, one 4" flowerhorn, one 5" eclipse cat, and some large bichirs. Filtration is a powerhead doing a few thousand GPH with a monster spongefilter on it and my pump in my sump also has a filter chamber.
Thoughts on best course of action? My phone isn't working currently so I can't post pictures unfortunately.
