Whats the deal with this locality? I am thinking about getting three. Are they likely to look like any other Cichla Mono? Does anyone have them from this collection point?

I have no xp with bass but it could be that they dont have a specific location so hes jst saying Columbian

Jeff Rapps is one of the most reputable vendors and distributor of fish so if he says they are monos, they are monos. I'm not sure about a collection point or river but they're from Putumayo, Colombia. $20 or $17.50 if you buy 4 or more for a pure mono, I think that's a steal! So you should grab one more lol. They're probably just gonna look like any other pure monos which they're badass. A lot of the stuff you see at lfs are hybrids. I've seen a lot of peru and lake diamante monos but I don't think I've seen colombians. So it would be nice to have members who owns colombian monos to post up some pics.

My old Putumayo mono. This mono had more of a Gold color then that of the Peruvian type that are mostly yellow in color. ;)

Yeah, I wish I had took a better picture of its true colors. Just imagine a ceara kelberi or a kelberi that is not a Bahia with out the spangles on its fins, that's a Putumayo mono.
