Rapps Oscar growth to shape questions?

Hey all, got back a couple of hours ago from a 4 1/2 HR drive too pick up a rapps Venezuela Rio Orinoco oscar, he looks great but his tail seems a little out of proportion to his body?
Not sure if it's just I'm used to everyday LFS oscars or the fact that the owner said he arrived in December 2016 at 3" and is already pushing 12"!?
1.5" per month!
Maybe his tail needs to catch up a bit!-)
Any opinions?

Maybe it's that he is so tall bodied and as a huge dorsal, definitely a future monster anyway...

Tail looks normal for this location of Oscar.
I must admit I'm quite jealous as that Oscar is bloody beautiful.

Just gotta adjust the stock to make him the centre piece now.

I wouldn't risk anything tearing that Oscar up,it's far too nice.
I've been looking at wild oscars for some time and really like these.
Great pick up.

Very nice Oscar, I have to agree Stanzz, I wouldn't risk having another fish tear that Oscar's finnage. He has a great shape.
