i have seven of these unusual fish.they are 4" in size.

Not exodons. Pretty mean characin, though. Grows to about 7".

are the cynopotamus still available? Where did you get them originally?

I wish I had a place for them, I have never seen them before.
Fishbase says there are 11 species ranging from 3 12"-16", do you know which species you have, they look like the ones pictured but the same pictures are under amazonus, bipunctatus, and tocatinensis. here it a 7-8" adult. The article says they do best with some current.
