Does anyone know what the rarest lake victorian cichlids are but still capable to find? I'm on a mission to collect endangered and really hard to find lake Victorians.

I'm kind of on the same mission. I'm not sure of the rarest but I do know Paralabidochromis Chromogynos "Zue Islands" are on the critically endangered list but you can still find them.(I just got some) The Xystichromis both the Kyoga flamebacks and the Phytohagus "christmas fulu" are also on this list but you can still find them. I would say that most Vics are probably endangered...Here is a site link that shows an actual list.

Me too. I also have some of the Flamebacks. What I would really like to find is some Prognathochromis Perrieri. They are extinct in the wild. I'm not sure how easy this will be though. I would say that for most vics that are endangered or more rare you will probably have to get online from somewhere, or me (since were both in the Denver area) when I get mine to spawn down the road.

Good news... I have a beautiful Fire red Uganda which has one of his females holding!

I would not recommend doing rare cichlid to breed unless you have had some practice. I am not trying to doubt anyone, but at first people often lose fish trying to breed. Learn how to breed then get into the endangered stuff! Once you got that get a lot of tanks and registrar them with the ACA.
