Rare ray creates flap in Lake

That's really weird. I didn't know rays jumped out of the water like that. Do the freshwater rays do it too?

several members have had them jump out of there tanks..... and alot of salt water rays go airborn

I've got about 2" of space at the back of my tank, think I'll cover that now.

Many of the devil ray species go airborn. One time we had one that was easily 12ft across leap clear out of the water about 30yards off our stern in the Gulf of Mexico. The crash is made as it hit the water was unbelievably loud! I rank that and the 25ft whale shark that came to our boat as one of my best fishing experiences ever!! :headbang2
