Rarest of the Rare Datnoid forkbars (share your pics)

My young forkbar datnoid that sadly
passed away this evening. I found him in a random garden centre. My first ever datnoid such as shame to lose him. (I say him, not sure on the gender of course.) I got him to about 4 inches from the 1-2 inch fish that I purchased him as. Unfortunately he became ill and then his feeding majorly slowed down and despite trying multiple different methods and food types, he passed away this evening. Any advice on future care as I am aiming to get a trio to grow out in around five months time. Thank you
