What is the rarest piranha? I am looking to get one or two of them. Tank size/cost of fish is not a problem, my parents buy any fish related things.

in terms of a fish, that almost nobody has, one is Serrasalmus neveriensis, another rare one is serrasalmus gibbus, in general though, fish such as mannies< which are almost impossible to grow out to full size, because they commonly die in capitvity, are very rare, at large sizes, and alomst none reach there full size of around 20", also very large piraya, at 16"+ are almost never seen, but seeing your collection, i do not reccomend you keep any of these speices, as they are to expensive to just be lost by a normal hobbist, but, for p collectors, who have kept many many p's before. i have seen some of the piraya go for $2000+ so no exactly pocket change.

yeah, ummmmm, your parents will buy you anything, but you keep 4 rbps, an oscar, a clown knife, and a red devil in a 20 gallon tank. i would stay away from expensive fish for now if i were you
