I should probably change it then, im relativley unexperienced with hybrids, I had a red texas a while back and I saw similarites but I guess their superfical, He was extremley agressive and he was housed with a midas hybrid of some sort and a Jack Dempsey, and Nearly killed them both, and killed my chromide, I just thought the look of the whitish pearls and the underbite matched, But anyways, I doubt he came from a supplier, My petco has a few tanks where they drop surrenders, and the rest except for this one looked like cull, the tag just had a printed picture of a black kamfa and a 30 dollar price, I had been planning for a while to have more cichlids since I gave mine away, and I like this little guy, hes recovring, all of his siblings had ich at some stage in the tank, and I couldn't bear to see him go that way, I thought he was too beautiful, I was originally going to go meet a breeder down in Houston, but I think I still would have prefered this guy (cheaper too) also dont be alarmed by the tank size, I still have the fairly large one that housed the jack and midas hybrid, but I might end up getting a 90 before it gets to that, I dont know what to look for, do you think hes of decent quality? I dont care either way just curious.

He looks like a nice little fh. Red coverage is pretty extreme and the pearls really pop. I know this is a hospital or grow tank but I recommend not to fall for the sterile bottom meme, he will be much more comfortable, beautiful, and active with a little bit of substrate. Color will improve and he will spend lots of time digging and having fun doing natural fish stuff.
