Do they seem like pretty specimens? I love them haha do you think their fry will turn out pretty? The female used to be better looking but she got beat up really bad by the male. I quatentinrd her with aquarium salt and she got a lot better very fast, although she lost most of her tail to tail rot (its growing back kinda funny), and a lot of her color is gone from a fungal infection that took off a lot of spangling. She still has a large spot on her gill cover that won't go away :/ she used to be glorious!

The male looks nice, but there is something "off" about the female's profile. I'm kind of a JD snob though lol. I'm sure their fry will look just fine. Good luck!

The male looks great. The female's tail takes away from her overall. The important thing is whether or not you like the pair.

Yes, the female does look off. She used to be stunning (the most colorful female I have ever seen and thats why i decided to breed her) but as I said, she got beat up REALLY bad by the male. The destroyed her body by constant biting, tattered her pectoral fins and tail fin (tail fin was worse), messed up her anal fin, she got fin rot on both tail fin and anal fin. Then some sort of cottony growth that got pretty bad before the treatment started working. She had large white cottony growths all her her body, it coated the end of her fins where finrot occured. It really saddens me to see her in this shape, but will hopefully come back!

The female is around 6 inches, and the male is 6.5 - 7. The male is much stockier though. The female is just lost (I think that might also be whats off-putting about her profile).

Not sure I would breed the female but that's just my opinion. Male has good body shape and color. He should color up more in the next year or so. Have fun!!!

Nothing against others but Don't listen to all of them, try breeding then together, they look great and they still have growing to do. I think the female looks good.
