Rate My Planted Fish Tank !

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
If your fish are still small and you have no intentions of upgrading in the future... Then i would agree with the above...

As for the aquascape looks pretty good imo :)

Well, it looks nice, but your fish choice i would change quickly.
I must say you are right above the fish choice thing , last week, all of my angel fish were beaten up by the Oscar and the gars , they were beaten up pretty badly they all died soon after ! It was a mistake ! I decided to make this an aggressive community tank so I got myslef a jaguar cichlid last week .

Dont worry man I already picked up a bigger tank for the gars . I'll set it up this weekend and cycle for 2 weeks .
what should I put in the older tank ? the one in the video ?

3/5.. needs more plants.. fauna is incompatible with the tank, unless u have plans of making a planted grow up tan.

What size is the tank? If its going to be empty you could do a group of dwarf / pea puffers...

The tank itself is pretty enough, but the fish combo is pretty cruel. Those poor gar do not look happy. Adding a jag to the mix isn't going to end well, either, when they reach adolescence. That tank isn't big enough for an adult jag, an adult oscar, and whatever other fish. Cichlids, as a rule, dig, so none of your aquascape is going to last. You should get some smaller cichlids, maybe some rams or something, for your planted tank, and send your large cichlids into a bigger tank where they have room to square off if you really want to keep them together.
