Hi, Just wondering how everyone ranked the hardiness of rays in order to educate new/potential ray owners on what to start with vs what to stay away from.

Basically I was hoping to rank the top 3 rays in terms of hardiness. Or have a general discussion on what to stay away from or what you really have to watch.

Are these generally determined to be the hardiest:?

1. motoro
2. Leo
3. Henlei

Other comments
Marble Motoro - touch and go definately not as hardy as normal motoro
Flower Ray - relatively sensitive
Pearl - ?
T-Cup - stay away!

I'm sure people can add their 2 cents on other types and how each worked out for them.

Good topic:

Well in my humble opinion and based on personal experience I would say the hardiest ray would be:
P. motoro (standard varient)
P. henlei
P. reticulata
P. schroeder

I have had no other species then these.

As a point of order, if you wish to broaden this thread try to rank rays according to purpose and related hardiness.
ex: breeding -vs- show piece.

Respectfully,
FireMedic.
