Would it be bad to feed raw chicken strips to a Pixie Frog? He's getting pretty big and Night Crawlers and Crickets don't seen to fill him up anymore. I don't want to feed him mice. Any other suggestions?

I wouldn use chicken in order to get the nutrition they need to eat th entire thing like organs, bones and skin. You could try roaches they are bigger or increase the amount of crickets and nightcrawlers.

I know you mentioned it...but feeding frozen (thawed) mice is going to be the most efficient and easy way to feed. Whats the reason for not wanting to? Its not gross at all...

I know it sounds lame, but I like all fuzzy animals and don't really want to feed a mouse to it. I was at Petco yesterday and saw the frozen mice and thought...as long as it's been killed for me, I can probably do it. They're expensive though...$5 for a frozen dead mouse!

If there's a specialty shop close by you can check to see if they sell chicks, chicken or quails.

$5 for a frozen mouse is way way to much, I would pay no more than $2. I"m guessing they all come in one size only since it's Petco?

So you think that cut pieces of raw chicken is ok? I saw your thread where you fed yours a whole baby chick, that's why I'm asking.

They had different sizes, but they were all $5 ea :screwy:

Get a price check. I worked at a petco for a few years part time and the freezer was always in disarray. Adult mice are like $1.30.

Ya I work at petco and the mice arent that expensive they are like $2 each and that is on the high end of a guess. But the freezers are always unorganized it seems like so check te price.
