Raw fish or pellets?

Need some answers. Which one would you prefer more and why?

I personally like a good brand pellet such as New Life Spectrum because of its ingredients which are not just fillers. I feed Tilapia to my fish as well to my predator species which provides protein and helps growth.

I prefer fish over pellets, preferably barbecued with a dash of garlic and butter. Real butter, not the processed crap. Mmmmm.

Thanks for your info. I really need others opinion on this matter since fish growth are important for me. Just can't decide which one have better effects.

But where I'm from, clarias/mackerel/sardines are much cheaper than tilapia. So I never feed em tilapia fillet or whole tilapia.

Raw fish is a pretty broad category as is pellets. There are good and bad in each. And is it raw whole fish, or fish filet? Is this as a staple? Is it an either or case?

I would prefer a diet that included both a good quality raw fish with a high quality pellet. If I had to choose just one for the end of time, it would be a high quality pellet.

But that's arbitrary. No one really has to make that choice.

Pellets that are exclusively (or almost exclusively) grain are I think a poor choice compared to the fish available to most hobbyists, so if that's the choice, I would go with fish.

For my Aro, I use a mix of raw tilapia, shrimp AND Hikari primarily.

I currently used massivore pellets but it is so expensive to compare with market fishes. My lfs have other brand of pellets but I just don't know if these pellets could affect my fishes' growth. That's why I need others opinions on this matter.

When fish eat fish, they usually eat the whole fish.
Skeleton, scales, intestines and other organs.
In this manner they get all the nutrients involved.
If you just feed fillets, the fish is missing out on all that other stuff, so in a way, its a bit low on the nutrient end.

If you were going going to feed fish over pellets then you could add some extra nutrients, watch the king of diy's video on how to make your own fish food. Its cheaper then pellets but has all the same nutrients, if you can feed whole fish then do that as well like whitebait of sardines if your fish are big enough to eat it.
