okay so my 5 inch male motoro pup is in a tank with endli, ornate, fire eel, discus, angles, clown loach, and a black aro. today i come one from running around for stuff for my new 270g and i see my little pup has been better up pretty bad and im s hurt to see him this way. i emediatly put a divider in the tank n he is my him self now. im best geuss it is the endlie or ornate idk tho but i do know they are the newest addition to the tank and this just came up. my thing is i have had them with chiclids and catfish and almost every thing but rays and these geuss are sweethearts so idk.... i am going to jsut keep doing like 15% water changes a day and do them slow. and try to just keep feeding this little guy. any medz i could use for him ? im not that new to rays but never had one hurt befor so idk what i really should use do to the fact im a non chemical user when it comes to tanks. i like going to natural way. please help any one

Probably the ornate as they tend to be more aggressive. I had a problem with a weeksii that kept biting one of my rays. A lot of people have big combinations of fish with rays. They only ones I have personally found that have worked for me are my red bay snooks and my dats. I had a silver aro that bit a ray as it chase food down to the bottom, a gar that would snap at the rays eyes during feeding, and the bichir that bit the rays. Pbass are a nice addition but get big. Basically it is all trial and error and you have to find what works best for you. My opinion is if you want to keep rays then make them #1. Everything thing else is second.

oh yeah man my rays always come first. he seems to b doing better now that he is by him self but i can see he isn't eating as much as he did before but im praying he comes around...i jsut wanted them to be his new tankmates n i geuss not.

Rays and bichirs are hit and miss. In my opinion it is usually a miss.

My ornate had to be separated from my rays because of its constant biting. Eventually they will go for the eyes.

I have to agree. I had two small discus in my 120 with my batray and they were nipping at her tail and doing damage...now they are gone as of yesterday.
