Ray behavior

Need to try and get this on video but i will try to explain. All rays i have now and ones i had years ago do this same thing from time to time. They raise the front of the disk followed by the rest of their disk, then suddenly shake themselves and shoot off through the water. I laugh to myself when it happens as it almost looks as if they have sneezed or something. They rise up like a horse would onto it's back legs, shake themselves and then shoot off. Hard to explain and you probably think i am crazy, but do any of you guys ever witness this?

Mine do that when shaking the sand off of themselves.

Mine will do that without sand to. Maybe it is a sneeze caused from air bubbles.

Normally just shaking sand off. But can be due to PH swings/drops. Have had mine do this when ph has crashed.

Interesting and thanks for the replies guys. Mine do with or with out sand also. Never noticed a PH swing or drop so hope it is just a behavioral thing

I have seen my rays do this as well. Seems to be random, and not very often.
