IN YOUR HEAD
is it supost to be white with alittle pink or just pure white? i thought i read that pink/red bellys was a bad sighn is that true?...

i've never owned rays but yes red belly is a sign that your substrate is too coarse and you should take itt out immediately. if your rays belly gets cut it could get infected and the ray could die

also something i haven't seen, but head about is heathy ray poo...is it stright, curly, depend on the ray? my male that just died had stright and my male that lives on has a DQ softsurve turd...

when young it will be pink, eventually will turn white, depending on the species.

You do not want Bright Red, or any cuts or abrasions.

i had sand in the tank...i took it out allready, not for fear of the ray getting cut as my eel and past eels have been fine in it...i took it out for ease of cleaning....my little ray poos more then my 13" common pleco did...

Healthy poop is solid and curly, basically looks like a shrivelled up worm. Anything that is runny or breaks up into particles is most likely not healthy. Anything green or white is also bad.

good to know as that is what my surviving rays leaving behind...the other one was more stright...maybe it was parasites that killed it...i have prazi pro in the tank now to be safe...and i have more for when the new females come in...
