Hi guys does anyone have pics and experience raising pups to adults for their colours patterns and spots on how much they change if at all as they grow...pic of my 2 pups attached...I am mainly wondering if my female is likely to turn black or remain greyish.. female bd x and male motoro x
Thanks for any feed back and shared experiences..20220130_141658.jpg20220130_141637.jpgScreenshot_20220111-232237_Gallery.jpg

To answer your question, your female BDx has a very long tail due to being crossed with Motoro. Chances are it’ll stay that base colour (or close to it) because she’s showing heavy motoro (brown ray) blood in her genetics. Cheers!

May very well contain BD blood but very high motoro content as evidenced by traditional motoro traits. In my experience, it doesn't appear to have enough to turn black, but will get darker as the ray gets older. I've had BD X Mantilla (50/50) that are born grey and light brown, but turn black when mature. All depends on the mix and percentage of blood present. Pm me if you want to see some pictures of some of the stuff I've worked with over the years and it may help and I can send you some pictures.

All the best
