Anybody have pics of a ray and discus setup?
I would think as long as the discus are big enough to avoid becoming a snack this combo would work well.

lots of people do this.... good combo....

i really want to, but in order to get big enough discus.. thats expensive on my part since my rays are so big

I keep discus with my two motoros. The motoros are young (7") so they don't see the discus as a meal. Very often I'll see the discus picking food up off the ground while the discus is swimming right in the same path and they wont move untill the ray pushes them out of the way lol. As long as the sizes work (ex: don't have a baby 2" discus with a 14" ray) it is a great combo.
Here are some pics, but forgive me I take horrible pictures and it turns out discus/rays hate to hold still when they think they are going to get fed.

i kept discus with rays for 2 years but as my motoro got to 9+ disc she would cover a adult discus at feeding time not enough to eat or kill the discus but would stress out the discus and they never seemed happy round the rays. started to find bite marks on them when i got up in morning even on my 6in blue diamond. moved them out two weeks ago.

well you dont need alot of flow.... rays are not always in heavy current and do just fine with out it...

ok, well my question is can a small discus live happily in a tank with a lot of flow?

probably not.... they usually dont take well to very high flow... atleast from my experience...
