Went to feed my rays this afternoon and found one perched on the driftwood chumming away on the algae like a pleco. Anyone else experience this? E85712A7-9D49-4B51-AA3E-6CAA9E1C6F67.jpeg6B12A0C5-C7D1-4244-8FF6-F1CD9144A4E0.jpeg

Matteus Matteus you ever experienced this? This is crazy I say.

I think this is more of a case of curiosity rather then grazing. Sharks tend to feel everything with their mouth when curious about something and considering that sharks and rays are closely related it would make sense for rays to do the same thing.

But as you said it could just be a weird ray with a different personality. Lol kind of reminds me of the "special kids" riding what we called the "tasty bus" licking the windows.

I have spent hundreds of dollars trying to find fish that would take care of algae in my ray tanks, with no success. Then I come home to my binos chewing it off of the rocks. So yes I have seen this as well.

I had a really bad bba problem that was solved with the biggest sae I could find. Eventually the rays will eat them but for now, it was a good solution.
