I am curious what type of thermometers people use in their ray tanks. I ask because I read that rays break many thermometers in tanks and on glass thermometers are not accurate. Though more expensive they say that a remote sensor thermometer is best.

Do you think that a remote sensor thermometer is necessary?
How much are they?

Anybody here ever have a ray break their thermometer?

My heaters are in the sump and I'm using a jager ebo heaters, 2 of them.

I guess, i read the thread wrong, Yup i use the same thing as delgado's using. got it from bigalsonline.com though.

Although I dont keep rays, I do use what Delgado uses and it works great.

Got that ,works great but i also have a mechanical one as backup.
