I just came home from work to find my Marble with his tail at 12 o'clock straight up.. He then started to freak out and swimming all wierd and sometimes upside down, then i noticed a bubble like thing coming out his butt.. He then kind of stuck himself in the corner and when he finally came out his tail is still up and now the front of his disc is stuck up too... He's been eating like a champ, and even ate some earthworms this morning so he never did QUIT eating..
Am i just freaking out for no reason or is there really something wrong ???

I think the water is just because he was thrashing around in there before he calmed down.. The water is perfect what i have tested so far... Ammonia Zero, Ph 7.0, Nitrite Zero, and trying to find the damn nitrate test kit..
 
The only thing i feed is Shrimp, worms from Wal Mart, and fish fillets.. And feed once a day..
 
i recommend u better change 1/2 water, put some black water and vitamin to make him comfort, then try to feed him tomorrow or day after tomorrow. its quite helpful on this problem. Is there winter now? if too cold, then u turn on the heater, make sure the water tempt are keeping stable. Dun worry, be happy!!
 
WTF !!!! I just came back home from buying another test kit and my Ornate is BLOATED AND DEAD !!!! :cry: This sucks !!! Just re-tested my water and everything was just the same as last time and Nitrates are 40ppm.... I'm lost ..:(

But it does look like the marbles disc is flattening out a bit...
 
Thats not D-curl. Looks like he's just constipated. Increase temp a few degrees and stop feeding for a day. Hopefully it'll work itself out.
 
I hope that's all it is... My ornate is still dead but i'd rather lose that than my Marble..
