ray feeding behavior

My First motoro used to swim up and snatch food while it's sinking. However my latest batch of 3 motoro never do this. they always hang out on the bottom and get the food only after it's sunk the bottom (not as fun watching them eat this way). My first motoro was on live feeders before i bought her, maybe this is the reason? I've try feeding my new rays with feeders but they also only go after them when theyr'e on the bottom of the tank. Does anyone else observe this behavior in their rays. got an opinion on why?

All of my rays feed differently. I think it differs from ray to ray. But yeah your first ray was probably use to hunting feeders, so thats why it hoovers

yeah that's what i thought, i'm gonna try to train my current 3 rays to do the same by going feeders for a month lolz
