My moto is 18 months old with an 11 inch disk. He was eating about 8 to 10 nightcrawlers a day, and the last two days he has ate mabey 2 a day. Any help is much appreciated...thanks Cindy

he could jus be not so hungry. my motoro is only a lil guy but some days he can eat like 15 sinking pellets, and some days he can only eat like 3. sorry if that doesn't really help.
When was your last water change and how much water did you change out? What other fish do you have in the tank? Have you tried any other foods?

Hi, we have 4 gouramies 1 red tail shark and 3 leaf fish in the tank with him. did a 25% water change. I feed him some ghost shrimp with the worms. How much salt do you add and what are the pellets you all are feeding them. not much help from store in st. louis mo. that sold him to us. He is eating much better today.
Cindy, Welcome first of all! You can read the sticky posts at the top of this forum and i believe it will tell you to add 1 tablespoon per 5 gallons of water. Rays prefer water temp of about 82-84 and i would keep an eye on your other fish they could very well be picking on your ray. Sharks and gourami's can be nasty. Also rays need near perfect water quality so twice a week you need to be doing 40-50% water changes. Last of all if he only skips a day or two don't worry as long as the tail is nice and fat. Also what size is your tank they need very large tanks.
my tank is 125gal The fish store tested my water today my amonia was as high as it could get. they told me to only do a water change once every two weeks and sold me TLC to lower the amonia level.
