Here it is no camera tricks. I have had this ray for 4+ months and this is what it looks like.

One pic with jag otorongo ray in there as well.

looks like a flower.... can you use the macro setting and get closer disk and tail shots please?
 
Those spottings looks like flowers to me, but I'm no expert.
 
I have been told it is a flower. Have you ever seen one this light?

I will post some more pics tomorrow can't find the camera cable right now.

Anything I need to do for better shots or close ups to help?

it really looks like a shroederi(flower) yes when small they are usually very light... also local has been said to determine color of them... use the macro setting (looks like a little flower) that will help with close ups...
 
i agree on its weight i would put it in another tank and fatten it up....
