salt or fresh or brackish?

they migrate between freshwater and saltwater. but when they in freshwater, there bodies will release more salt. therefore they "pee" more, which equals nasty stinky water and more wc.

oh that sucks

Looks like it can be related to the atlantic stingray.

You bought a living organism without even knowing whether it was from the ocean or not? I am never quick to criticize- not only because it does nothing but piss people off but I also make mistakes almost as much as the rest of you (lol)- but in this case I have to make an exception. :irked:

Were you on any medication while making this purchase? Next time you are going to buy a living thing, make sure you know how to care for it. Minimum, at very minimum you need to know under what conditions it lives and what its diet consists of.

Congrats on the new arrival; please take the necessary steps to care for it.

Where is it being housed?

I love the texture on the back. I would be very tempted to touch it.
Very risky buying a ray or any animal without having prior knowledge to it.
Good luck and congrats on the catch. Might need a VERY large enclosure one day.
