Someone NOT from Australia, who has alot of experience with black rays please ID my rays. I've been told they are P. henlei. I just want to make sure before I sell any, as prices in AU are ridiculous and I don't want to rip anyone off unintentionally. Any chance of any P motoro in their blood also? There have been lots of Leo X Motoro around and I wanna make sure these arent 2/3/4 gens crossed back to the black ray after the initial Leo X Motoro . TY

i would go with leoXmotoro..:)

Thanks for the replies. I trust you both have alot of black ray experience, as I'm not interested in peoples opinions who don't really know what they're on about.

keepinfish, do you know if there is a way to tell for sure? I know henlei is supposed to have dots on the belly too and the 2nd last shot does show some of these charateristics.

Cheers,
Mike.

Also, some of the fish in the pics are quite big and don;t the Leo x motoro fade out when they get biggrer.

Also, if Leos donn't have dots on the belly and neither do motoro , then this can't be a Leox motoro becuase it does have dots on the belly.

Anyways, food for thought.

Mike.

Looks like Henlei X to me due to the spotting around perimeters of the disc & belly. I like the one in the 1st pic the most.

I would say henlei/motoro but really impossible for anyone to say for sure. All I can say is has to be some motoro in there and other half is henlei or leo.

My Leo has spots around the edge of his disc. Not big spots but kind of like yours.

Mike (csx)would have the most knowledge on black ray id's

Thanks everyone for their prompt replies. csx, why do you say there has to be motoro in there? Just so I know for next time.

I will take this off the market in AU and notify the 'buyer to be' it's no longer FS.

Mike.
