how corfortable do you think a ray would be in a 60" long x 30" wide x 24" tall tank with a bichir or 2? just wonderin if im gonna be a bad boy or not ;)

You could get away with a smaller sp. like a retic, scobina, true histrix, yepesi, and orbigni. Motoro wouldn't work out to well, maybe a year and a half, two if it is a male.

Rays prefer soft acid water (no mineral content). Polys come from hard alkaline water but, can manage neutral conditions.

BTW, are you aware of CA laws concerning rays?

Why not a motoro? Don't they max out around 18" or am i not giving enough for the tail comfort thing?

Motoros can get much bigger than that, yeah plus the tail, it would really outgrow the tank. I have seen a 18'' motoro in a 8'x4'x2' pond and she made it look small.

ya im aware of da laws, just wonderin how one would do in my tank, so no motoros? me heving never kept a ray, what that could be COMFORTABLE, not barley fit what would be a good ray for a tank like this if any ........

The rays I posted in my first post would work the best for that size tank.
