Would it be a reasonable idea to put a 6" motoro in a 125 long with my 12" Alligator Gar, 12" Pleco, and 4 large silver dollars? It has really good filtration, solid parms, and no substrate. It would only be temporary until I get my 800g going.

Thats what it says.

Wait until you have your 800 set up.
An alligator gar is just going to outgrow that too, and attempt to eat your other fish in the process.

I'm going to put a 2,500 gallon pond in some time in the next year or two. Eventally the plan is to have the 800g tank just for some rays once I move the gar into the pond along with some other things. The 125g is just a raise-up tank with the exception of the silver dollars and the pleco.
