Ray Keepers--- DO YOU RUN A UV on your tank--and why?

Just wondered what other ray guys are doing?

It seems more people are running Uv's and i didnt realize this until recently.

Do you run one? Why? Have you noticed it helps?HOW?

Nope, I know I go against the grain but have never found reason to. How's the Leo doing?

I would and will be soon once I finish the filtration on the tanks. Very good preventative.

I run one... not 100% sure if it does anything since I put it on my tank when I originally set it up and have never turned it off. But considering total expenses it is not that much for peace of mind.

I did see improvement in water clarity on my smaller tank when I added one - which is why I started with one when setting up the ray tank.

I run one for peace of mind and it helps with algae, overall water clarity.

No I've never found the need to run one.

I do, to reduce pathogenic or infectious bacteria. With the amount of DOC they produce i feel like its a shade below necessary.
