the darker one was labelled a "unique Marble Ray, possibly a Mantilla"
i haven't acknowledge myself with all the types of ray back then so i wasn't sure about the real ID of them.. thanks anyway for the feedback
i'm aware of that, but at some point i was into "variations" on my tank so i was kinda looking for something else.. also aren't they able to breed even with different kinds? or is it very essential to breed them with the same kind?
my motoro is a 10" female.. and these two rays are about 12" males
..pardon my english![]()
spotfin;4694394; said:Yes, the first ray is an orbignyi. They can be labeled as "Peruvian Hystrix". Have also seen them as "yellow hystrix".

I dont want to advise you in anyway as if its ok to breed different types, or certain types of rays with other certain types of rays. I dont know enough about it rt now to be comfortable to give you advice on that. Someone who knows more can prob tell you that information. And as putting a larger male ray in with a smaller female as well.
