i was wondering what i could keep with a few of the easier to keep rays in a 210 could be?

my stocking would hopefully be
1 oscar
1 JD
2 sengal polys
maybe a RTGG
and maybe a lima shovelnose
MAYBE a black aro...
and then one or two rays..

would it be ok to do 2 in the tank
would there be any fights/ problems
what kind of rays would be best fro s begginer?

Best rays for n00bs are Motorros. You should also buy "Freshwater Stingrays" by Dr. Richard Ross. Raykeepers bible, very cheap and loads of info. Read all the ray stickys for the best info!

I would pass on the JD and Oscar with your setup. O is a garbage disposal and 2 dirty and JD might be an eye biter.

Most important thing in ray keeping is clean water!!!

Just my .02

the setup comes with an FX5 assuming regular maintenence.... is that enough?

forget the

oscar may attack the rays
shovelnose get to big for a 210
RTGG may work but i think they get a bit big for the 210
JD may attack the rays

whats the dimentions of the 210g ?

what he said.... most cichlids are not good tank mates for rays as T1 stated the tsn will get way too big.... if you take care of it right it will out grow the tank in a year....

i need to read up on standard tank sizes in in the US :D

6x2 sounds about right. i'll check the #'s
i said a lima SN i thought those only got like 1'6''? no?

well i guess a raymay be out of the question then, cause i HAVE to keep the O andJD, unless some one in the chicago area wants them. we'll see...
i'll check on the dims...

I would totally give up the O and JD for a nice ray any day! Even if I had to give the fish away for free! :D

I was wondering about giant gouramis too? But i agree with all the above, but a lima will be fine but not a true shovlenose

GG just depends on its agro level.
