Jay's Aquatics in Salem NH has a small Motoro ray about 6 inches across for $125 . She/he is very pale in color not sure if it's due to the white sand it's on or not. There is a very small (bite?)mark on the edge of it's disc. The ray has been there for several weeks and although it's being well cared for at the store it just seems sad for it to be there this long.
I was hoping someone with the correct size tank (mines not big enough or I'd buy it myself) was looking to buy a small ray that needs a good home.

As bad as this sounds, you should let that one stay there and bite the dust. If this place is bringing in rays that it cant accommodate properly then they shouldnt be bringing in rays. And by buying this ray its just proving to the store, oh if we bring these in and jam them in a tank they'll sell. If you just leave it there to die, theyll figure, oh, that was an expensive loss, lets not bring in stingrays again.
Thats my thought on this

Well said KING, but he said that the ray is cared for well, just been there for awhile... If i were you, i would go to the LFS and tell them about the bite mark and see whats in the tank with the ray, and ask them to move it...

the ray is not being mistreated in any way shape or form, the tank it's in is fine for it's size at this time. The store takes care of their fish and seems to care about them. As it is known as a s/w only store and has just started to carry fresh not many people looking for fresh water would be shopping there. Also I believe it was a customer trade in. I only put this on the forum as I was hoping that someone in the area would be looking for a ray and give it a better home than it will have at a fish store.
I understand 100% that if there is no demand there would be no need to supply, but it seems awful to to prove that point at the cost of a living beings life.

The tank has some Geos in it, they're about 2 to 3 inches so I really can't see then hurting the ray, and I'm not even sure it is a bite mark. The mark in the shape of a half circle about the size of tip of a pinky. I'm going to the store tomorrow so I'll see how it's doing then.

Just thought someone on here would want to give it a great home, that way the chance are they would either know what they are doing or have a lot of people who could help if needed.
