i have a 10" motoro female ray she is housed in a 250 gallon tank 96"x30"x24" the water condition is as follows nitrate 0 nitirte 0 ammonia 0 ph 8.2 ive had her for over a year she has alway ate earth worms cut shrimp or crayfish that i raise myself. she has suddenly quite eating its been over a week since she has ate normally the behavior started when i did a 50% water change which i do twice a week i will sometimes put a worm or a few crayfish in her tank at night and in the morning there gone but not always i would say at best she is eating a worm a day she is still active she has gone on hunger stikes in the past but never more than two days she is starting to get skinny any suggestions on what to do if it matters the filteration is a wet dry filter with 50 gallon sump with a 2000 gph pump and a fx5 the water temp is 79

Since your water parameters look perfect, I would run a 2 to 3 week course of Prazipro. I have had this happen before from feeding live foods like nightcrawlers. The Prazi has cleared it up every time. Good luck!

Yes, continue feeding. She is going to need the energy. Any rays that go on "hunger strike" are having some sort of issue (disease, stress, parasite, etc.).

i started treatment with prazipro yesterday she has quite eating completely and now has blotches all over her skin anyone have any idea what could be going on?
