Ray on live food

I know alot of people dont feed live, but my ray ive been trying to fatten up for a wile. She is 5 inches in disk has the key whole in her head but is eating worms. Threw some rosie minos in there, and she doesnt recognise them as food. The book that i have on rays says that they will eat gold fish but with her mouth being so small, i dont think she could fit a gold fish in there. Also she is a female motoro its almost looking like the rosies are getting ready to settle in there new home...Any thoughts or ideas on how to get her to eat more or view these feeders as food ?

Also she is on second dose of prazi so i dont think she could have a parasite.

If she is eating worms well but won't fatten up, a parasite may be to blame. Prazipro is ray safe and an effective parasite treatment.

I feed pretty much live or raw food for my hystrix and he wasn't fattening up either but I started feeding him more through out the day and just kept it up and he is starting to get a nice size and his tail is getting real thick. If your doing worms make sure your feeding them different foods because whatever your worms eat your stingrays will be eating indirectly. I usually put fish food fresh fruit and stuff like that for my worms to eat.

T1 beat me to it soak soak pellet in with the worm, she will soon start trying the soft pellet along with the worm.

wow that makes scene i have been feeding the compost worms my coffee grind which may not be a good idea for the ray i will however throw some masivore pellets in there its a good idea. also going to try the cut up worm pellet trick.
 
I thought my female marble Motoro had a internal parasite due to not fattening up after feeding. In this case I wasn't feeding her enough. Just feed your ray as much as they can intake or til u see their backs puff up. For a young ray that size feed 2-3 times a day til they are full each time. You'd be surprised how much these rays can eat.
