im just curious , how active at the top of the tank , are stingrays supposed to be ? cause ive noticed alot of swimming near the top , in the filters and powerheads ?? also with the lack of interest in food , i am concerned ?? temp - 82 -83 . water is spot on , just recently moved them into a 210 from a 180 , ?? thanks

Have the same problem with my new 8-9" male motoro. He is a very healthy eater and a very aggressive one at that too but he loves cruising and swimming against the powerhead more than my female motoro. Seems like normal behavior but the not being interest in food is a little bit weird. Did you just recently bought the ray? If so was it eating before that and what was it eating.

ya these guys , were all bought together , very good eaters in the 180 , then i switch them into the 210 , kinda stressfull !@! now no interest in food , plus they swim at the top now ?? female is prego and was still eating up until today !! now she snubs at food , all kinds !@! ?? ive gone from prawns to worms to bloodworms ?? threse guys are super healty and fat !@! but the behaviour is out of nowhere ??

give it a week or two to get used to the new tank. a move, even in house, can stress a ray.

this is what i thought as well , but it makes me nervous when they dont eat and i gotta scoop it out ??..lol

Im kinda having the same problem with my retics...my female was all over the tank, in the bubble wall, filter outlet, would eat sometimes 3 times a day...now i added a male about a week ago and she did a complete 180..always buried in the sand, eats only at night, then buries herself again..not being bullied by the male, shes twice his size..i dont get it but then again if they were easy they wouldnt be fun, right??

yup its a challenge , at least they are fat and active !@! but it would be nice to to see em gobble up that food again , especially with pups on the way ..

swimming around and playing with airbubbles or powerheads is perfectly normal...
