So I recently acquired this female motoro stingray and today I noticed that it's tail looks to be white at the tip. I dont know if this is normal or if it has a problem. Please let me know if it's sick and what I should do?

I checked the water parameters the other day and they tested fine. The ray did bust through the bag when attempting to transport so we just left him in the box without it. The whiteness does appear to be on the tip of the tail and stinger. I added some salt to the tank and will bump up the temp. tomorrow. I'll keep a close eye on it over the next few days.FishDog;2846593; said:Doesn't look like fungus to me. How long have you had it and did it try to sting a net or the bag when it was moved. Just wondering why the skin is missing from tip of stinger. I would keep an eye on it and look to see if it gets worse. If it moves further up the tail then it could be bacterial. If it doesn't spread then up the temp to the mid 80's and add salt to the tank if you haven't already. Keep an eye on the bichir. They tend to bite when you are not watching. Have you done any water testing?
