i'm sure there was a thread on this sometime ago but want to ask again.
I've been watching my new pups in there bare bottom tank and thinking that there is nothing in there to stimulate them at all. At least with substrate they spend there time sifting around for food. So my question is does anybody put stuff in there tank just for ray stimulas at all. Maybe toys like balls ect... or shells to flip over or have they found anything unexpected in there tank that provides amusement for the rays. I know most rays like air bubblers and anything that makes a current. A list of anything and all would be appreciated

my pups were very shy until about a week ago.... now they are always hungry, swimmin around lookin for food. ive heard this a few times, where they get more active after a certain point..... how old are ur pups?

I have a bubble wand, some dither fish, and some round river rocks for my pup to play with....

There leo's from mikes last batch which I think would put them at around 5-6 weeks. Thay are active in swimming but they don't have to search for food so I wanted something else for them to do to occupy there minds.

Do they try to turn over the rocks? I like the idea of dither fish just didn't want them eating all the blackworms. What type of fish do you have?

My motoros from Nick at N_E Cichlids love to play in the bubble disks.

i usually keep sand in my pup tank and they like to dig and bury in sand alot...

i never had problem with bare bottom... took my ray a few weeks to get used to the river pebble i added to the tank.. he cleared himself a bare feeding spot....

I have some smooth river rocks (about 1.5" dia) in my tank along with sand. Sometimes the female will move a rock around. She also likes to chew on the piece of drift wood.
