I have 7 motoro stingrays.

5 are 6" pups (2 m/3 f), and 2 are 10" adults (1m/1f)

I noticed last night that the 2 adults have bite marks on their tails. The smaller pups don't have these. There is a pup that likes to grab onto the large male's tail, and rides around, but he's never caused bite marks.

I know that breeding rays often get rough with one another, and I was hoping that maybe that's what these marks are from?

the water parameters are 0,0,20. Temp is 76-78. Tank is a 240. (this is only temp until I can move my koi outdoors)

They share the tank with 6 small Datnoids, 14" Venez Pike, 3 small carpintis.

Any ideas what these are from? They were pink bites last night, but they seem to have not been very deep because they are looking like they are healing over already. The male was worse than the female.

No idea on where they might have come from, though common from fish. You'd have to observe them to find out. Normally the male is rough on the female, so am unsure about if it would come from the rays.

Also, I wanted to say that it must be really cute to see a ray pup riding around on the tail of another, lol.

I've noticed that the female has been aggressive lately to the male.. she is mature, but I am not sure if he is yet or not. I was told by a friend that he may be in the maturing stages.

Yeah, the little one only does it to the big male. He attaches on, and the big guy just swims around with his little sidekick.

Yeah, they are healing up already. they get 50% wc every other day.
