Ray tank stand nearly complete

Finally completed the framework for my ray tank stand, now all i need to do is get the tank and cladding. (this is also an attempt at uploading pics so please exuse a possible lack of them )

I always wanted to know is it necessary to use pine studs and wood for a tank build or can you buy the cheaper studs.
